Book Grants
Every HAT member who is studying homeopathy on an IHA accredited course can apply for a grant towards the cost of the books they need for their course syllabus. It's not means tested, it's not selective. It's available to all our UK based student members.
HAT is committed to helping students in need throughout their training. We understand that one of the immediate items needed for your studies are the required course text books, and believe that every student should be able to access financial help toward these books. As such, if you are a UK based student member of HAT, our rewards programme will allow you to claim a voucher towards your books (terms and conditions apply).
How does our book grants rewards programme work?
HAT book grants are part of our rewards programme, whereby your rewards build over time as your membership journey develops.
You choose when you want to claim your reward. How much will you let it grow? The following guide will help you decide, and is based on the time between when you joined HAT on our monthly subscription scheme (or when your reward was last reset following your previous claim) and the date of your application.
<3 months - £25
3-6 months - £60
6-9 months - £100
9-12 months - £140
12+ months - £180
For instance, if you have been a HAT member through our monthly subscription scheme for 4 months your book grant reward will be £60.
Your book grant reward will reset once you have claimed, and you need to build it again.
We understand that some students may wish to begin their reading list in advance of formally beginning their studies, but we cannot accept applications more than 3 months before the start date of your course.
You can apply twice during the course of your studies, but you cannot apply twice during the same academic year.

We aim to process completed applications within 2 weeks of having received all relevant items (principal's endorsement, completed online form below), although at busy times that could be longer. Applications will not be processed without the aforementioned items.
If you are a member of HAT through an historic annual membership category, and have not switched your membership to our monthly subscription model, then your book grant amount will be calculated on the number of months since your last payment.

Endorsement forms sent before the applicant joins HAT and completes the above application form will not be accepted.
Principal's endorsements not sent in the required format will not be accepted.
